Trip Information
Flights - You may arrive as early as you wish on the first day and leave as late as you wish on the final day. We will let you all know who is on the which flight when we get closer to the date so you can coordinate taxis. When you arrive at the resort, Marival will take your luggage, give you all inclusive wristbands immediately and send you off to have fun until your room is ready later. So, it is a good idea to pack a bathing suit in your carry on luggage.
Transportation: From Airport - Taxi to Marival Distinct in Nuevo Nayarit (not Marival Emotions). Walk out of customs, out the sliding glass doors, to the sidewalk outside. Go right for a quick overpriced beer if you wish and then turn left to the Taxi line. Do not accept a ride from a person yelling at you with a sign unless you know who they are. Go to the Taxi line. Taxis charge around $20 per person. Your address is Marival Distinct in Nuevo Nayarit.
Return Transportation to Airport - talk to concierge or door man at Marival. They will take care of it.
Emotions, next door, has several excellent restaurants that you have access to as well. So this first day is the time to talk to the concierge about a reservation at one of them. Our resort does not require any reservations.
Dress Code: Dinner is snappy casual. Shorts, nice sandals, and collared shirt for men and general snappy casual for women are requested. Some restuarants require closed toe shoes on men. This is for dinner only at both resorts. All other times, the dress code is logical and basic....just a bathing suit cover up or shirt.
Communication: A group WhatsApp will be set up and active starting the week before we leave. It can help at airports, coordinating taxis, etc. It's also useful for last minute invites for side trips to another town or just heading to the beach bar to watch the sunset, or an impromptu picking party. However, WhatsApp is not required.
